Coast Capital Savings and Central City would like to introduce a challenge to all. Please wear pink on February 29th, 2012 in support of Anti-Bullying Day! Coast Capital Savings Central City Branch employees volunteer their time 2-3 times per month at the Boys and Girls Club located on Old Yale Road by Central City. 60-100 kids attend this club daily in the after school programs. Central City’s Customer Service Office will be taking donations the entire month of February to support this Club. It would be great if everyone got involved and visually supported this day by wearing pink. Please also consider donating for a great cause! Say Yes to Love, Say No to Bullying!

YMCA Stride Inside Program

Did you know that the YMCA and Central City offer a “Stride Inside” walkers program? The group meets Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 8:00 am in front of Customer Service. They start with a good warm-up walk great distances throughout the mall and end with a cool-down. After the cool-down they get together for coffee in the foodcourt. The Drop-in Fee is $2 per day and your first visit is free. For more information, please contact the YMCA at 604-575-5009.

Pokemon Championship MAR 17

Provincial /State/Territory Championship – Saturday March 17 @ Winners Vestibule

The Regional Championships will take place in only six cities in North America. The closest venue will be San Francisco, so we anticipate many players from BC, Alberta as well as Washington and Oregon will attend the event. The Video Game Championship is a new event in Canada and is less structured in nature as any player with a DS gaming console and the Pokemon Black & White video game can participate. There are no other restrictions so I would like to extend an invitation to all the Shopping Centre patrons to participate in this free event.
