Visit Central City from May 14 to July 12 to view a City of Surrey Community Art Program exhibit featuring Sumi ink drawings. The exhibit is located near Urban Kids on the upper level of the shopping centre.
The exhibit showcases art that was made by the community, creating space for social connection. The City of Surrey’s Community Art Program brings people together to share their creativity. In this project, The Sumi Ink Club, participants paint on a shared surface. People are encouraged to move around and add to each other’s drawings. By responding to each other’s marks, the group works collaboratively to create a final image. The result is a dynamic image that represent the diverse voices of our community.
